Our local fight part 1

Way back when, the people of Washington State decided that their doctors, not law enforcement or politicians, knew better when it came to healthcare decisions. We passed our law that enables a very select group of seriously ill and hurt patients to use cannabis (marijuana) for relief when other “standard” methods didn’t work. The law that was written was made vague on purpose due to the fact that if we had anything in it pertaining to the selling of cannabis or collectives the bill would not have passed. As this was a known factor the writers of the law made it so that collectives and dispensaries were not disallowed but not allowed either knowing full well that we (the patients) would need a way to get our medicine. Every time we try to make a move within the system to allow collectives with their own amendment or law but are blocked at every turn. It comes down to a few simple facts…..
1. Cannabis IS medicine and is here to stay (so get used to it)
2. We WILL get our law to allow us to gather together to form collectives and establish dispensaries (even though now it is NOT against the law to form a collective or dispensary)


How can it be fair for you (non medical cannabis patients) to have the right to get your doctor recommended (prescribed) life saving medicines locally but for some patients that’s not ok?

That is called discrimination and isn’t good for any group.

To the end of establishing our collective and grow site we have formed our own group. We have tried to work with local officials. We’ve met with the local mayor, police chief, city planner, and city lawyer and all but the lawyer are with us. The lawyer says since its not specifically allowed in the law that it is therefore illegal. Not sure where he gets this line of reasoning as this goes against all principals of our country and our legal system. If something is not specifically disallowed then by default it is legal. Our city attorney has this backwards which means one thing. He’s been bought and paid for or he is letting his personal opinion influence his job which is so not right on so many levels. The mayor, police chief and city planner have all said that if we can get a statement from the city attorney’s boss (Benton County Prosecutor Andy Miller) stating that since it’s not specify disallowed then by default its legal, they will support us in any way they can. So we play the game while looking at alternatives.

The Wrong War

I have been a medipot patient since 2000 and have seen this war happening with a front row seat. It is great that we are making progress in the medical marijuana movement and even the legalization movement as well. But, these are not the problems. Our problem is currently realized due to an almost total lack of responsibility on our parents and our parent’s parent’s part. Understandable that after a world war people would be very patriotic but no where in there does it say we must be fools. Our last several generations gave up on their responsibility when they started believing everything our government said to them. Instead of listening to what they say and then doing your own research to make an informed decision they took it as it was said. Now, I do understand we have a much greater capacity for communication than they did (internet for the biggest one) and that they could only get so much information in those times, but that’s still no excuse. All of america (lower case intended) KNEW what Cannabis was and even the smoke screen of using slang (marijuana is a Mexican slang word) by Anslinger, the people still found out real quick what had been outlawed. It was probably the most used medicine in the world’s pharmacopeia at that time. When the AMA stood up after learning of the deception everyone else should have as well. It’s in this single act of our populace that relinquished our control of our own country and put it in the hands of fear mongering idiots. We (our current few generations) will no longer take it. You’ve been put on notice. Either change or we will change it for you and make sure your no longer in the picture of American (caps intended here) politics or even any position of responsibility. For all your lies, deceit, and murder of your own countrymen you should be lined up and shot.

This has never been a war on drugs but a war of control by the "elitist religious" on our own countrymen. They based their laws on lies and deceit. Call it "yellow journalism" if you like but I like to call it what it really is....lying. When the feds found that the people were starting to wake to their ploy they flip-flopped on their reasons for making it illegal in the 1st place. They have covered up research that proved that there WAS medical use (known in the 50's and again in the 70's and even now). They have disallowed ALL research that was intended to put a positive light on cannabis. They have denied their own administrative judges, all reports commissioned by government officials (LaGuardia and several others including their own IOM). They continue to deny the truth and put our most vulnerable in jail (not to mention all the other users that just like to smoke pot). Wake up people

Dr identified real cause

I see the same thing in just about every thread I read. People don’t seem to understand the “drug problem” at all. Every “drug” related “problem” we have isn’t because of drugs. IT’S BECAUSE OF THE DRUG WAR! All the issues we have, pushers, users, drug related crime, mob, gangs and much more are all symptoms of the actual problem. It’s just like going to the doctor, until he finds out what is the real cause of the problem you have he/she can only treat the symptoms. Because the government found out real fast how profitable the new drug war on pot and now all drugs was, they did everything they could to continue it even in the face of science showing they were going the wrong way. Science from around the world is showing how far our government has gone to keep the lie and they continue to spout lies even as the proof is right in front of them and they know it. The way to fix our system, and to a great extent the corruption from local officials all the way to the top, is to end the drug war. Stop treating addiction as a policing issue and start treating it as the health issue it really is. Save billions yearly and use the money to fund education as that’s the only way to reduce drug abuse. Once you remove the illegality of the prohibition of these “drugs” they loose their value to the mob and gangs and even terrorists. You take away the “forbidden fruit” aspect of drugs and all the lies told to children, you’ll re-establish the trust that was so long ago lost by our families all the way up to the president. When kids start to get older they naturally want to experiment and the easiest thing they can get is pot, alcohol, and tobacco. Once they try pot and come to the realization that they’ve been lied to is when they start thinking if they were lied to about the other drugs to….sheds a little light on why there is even a gateway theory in the 1st place but it’s only because of the illegality that it exists in the 1st place. If we legalized ALL drugs, regulated as we do with tobacco/alcohol , and taxed it we could take control back from the mob/gangs and cartels, deflate the value of the drugs to where they are no longer appealing to these groups and would have a wide range of effects, all good in the long run. At the same time a program to educate about all drugs and addiction, honesty in family conversations, honesty from our police and politicians, we would find that drug use would go way down. You’d also find that drug related crime would go way down as well. There are way to many areas of effect this would have to talk about here. It would take time to implement, and yes, there would be increased use as we got the system sorted out and started educating people with truth rather than lies. There would be more use at 1st. But as the system is implemented and the truth is out people will start to trust again and the issue will become very manageable without prisons or that entire side of thinking.


We’ve been lied to for decades and now the real cause of our troubles is seeing the light of day. Always look for the truth as its almost never very clear nowadays.
